EcoFlow's new RIVER Gen4 power stations are smaller, lighter, and built for camping
The RIVER 260 and 520 Gen4 shrink portable power down to 6.6 lbs, with the DELTA Gen4 duo covering home backup. Here's everything announced.
EcoFlow has announced its next generation of portable power stations, and the headline for campers and hikers is simple: they got a lot smaller.
The new RIVER Gen4 Series pairs two ultra-compact units with the bigger DELTA Gen4 Series for home backup. The announcement landed November 4 alongside a launch event in Miami, where EcoFlow also previewed its new TITAN line for the US market.

The RIVER Gen4 is built to be packed
The series includes two models, the RIVER 260 Gen4 and RIVER 520 Gen4, both built with EcoFlow's proprietary stacking technology and fitted with removable carrying straps.
The RIVER 260 Gen4 packs 256Wh of capacity and 300W of output into a 6.6 lb unit that EcoFlow says is 32% smaller than the industry average. That is genuinely toss-in-the-trunk territory for car camping, or a painless add to a van or photography kit.
The RIVER 520 Gen4 steps up to 512Wh and 500W output at 10.1 lbs, a design EcoFlow claims is 54% smaller than average for its class.

Smarter power that lasts longer
Both models support AC, USB-C, solar, and alternator charging, reaching 0 to 80% in as little as 42 minutes for the 260 and 50 minutes for the 520.
Multiple AC and USB ports, including a 140W bidirectional USB-C, let you run laptops, camera batteries, and phones at once.

That 140W USB-C also happens to be exactly what a Starlink Mini wants, a pairing I broke down in my Starlink power outage guide.

Two quietly useful features round things out. Emergency Power Mode reserves enough juice for essential phone charging even when the display reads 0%, and UPS switchover under 10ms keeps plugged-in electronics running if grid power cuts out.
Intelligent power management also keeps the units from draining themselves, drawing just 6.6W with AC on and 1W in standby.
DELTA Gen4 handles the home backup side
Alongside the RIVER, EcoFlow introduced the DELTA 3000 Gen4 and DELTA 3800 Gen4 for bigger jobs at home or off-grid.
The DELTA 3000 Gen4 holds 3072Wh at 57.3 lbs, while the 3800 Gen4 packs 3763Wh (expandable to 12kWh) at 67.5 lbs. Both deliver 3600W rated output with 7200W surge, enough for about 99% of household appliances according to EcoFlow.
The standout spec is efficiency; both models cut their own power consumption by up to 70%, and Fridge Runtime Boost keeps a refrigerator running for up to 58 hours on the 3000 and 70 hours on the 3800, handy numbers to know during storm season here in Florida.
The series also gets the same Emergency Power Mode, which EcoFlow calls an industry first for portable power stations, plus Storm Guard Mode 2.0, which uses National Weather Service data to top up your unit before severe weather hits.
Pricing, availability, and Black Friday timing
The DELTA Gen4 Series is available now with early-bird pricing: $1,299 for the DELTA 3000 Gen4 (down from $1,699) and $1,699 for the DELTA 3800 Gen4 (down from $2,199).
The RIVER Gen4 Series opens for pre-sale on November 24, with regular sales starting December 4.
Both launches land inside EcoFlow's Black Friday sale, running now through December 7 with up to 58% off select gear.
I've asked EcoFlow for a RIVER 260 Gen4 sample to test, so expect a full tested review once units start shipping.
In the meantime, my EcoFlow review covers the DELTA and RIVER units I've already used, and my TRAIL Series launch coverage shows where EcoFlow's compact push started.
