When it comes to running, the right gear can make all the difference to how you feel, but also how your shoes perform. The Fox River Inyanka Medium Weight Ankle Running Sock aims to provide comfort and support for runners of all levels.
But do they deliver? Well, you’re about to find out!
Key Specifications

Fit and Feel
The Inyanka socks offer a supportive fit, thanks to the URfit® System which hugs your feet nicely without feeling compressive like a lot of running socks do nowadays – so it has a slightly looser feel.
The blend of materials provides a soft feel against the skin, and the medium weight offers plenty of cushioning while maintaining a good level of breathability.
However, the lack of left and right-specific design means the fit isn’t as tailored as it could (or should) be.
What’s Good
- Comfort and support: There’s plenty of soft cushioning around the heel and forefoot, making them suitable for long runs but also everyday wear – I’ve been wearing them for both during my testing period. They have a nice supportive feel around the midfoot also, as you can see in the photo above.
- Moisture Management: The combination of CoolMax® EcoMade and Wick Dry® technology effectively wicks away moisture, reducing the risk of blisters but also keeping your feet feeling dry and less sweaty.
- Durability: The socks’ ability to maintain their shape and performance after multiple washes is another thing that I like about them.
What’s Not So Good
- Non-Anatomical Design: The identical design for both feet results in a less precise fit than ‘left’, ‘right’ socks, potentially affecting comfort for some runners, or a looser than expected fit shall we say.
My Verdict
The Fox River Inyanka Medium Weight Ankle Running Sock offers a comfortable and supportive experience for running and everyday wear, with effective moisture management and durability, and I’m going to be hanging on to these for many more runs and daily wear.
While the non-anatomical design may not provide a perfect fit for everyone, the overall performance and value make these socks a solid choice for your running wardrobe.
