10 Years Of Align: Why I Still Live In lululemon’s Softest Leggings

There are days I feel like I haven’t stopped moving since 6 a.m. Not necessarily running—but bending, squatting, chasing bubbles, picking up toys (and sometimes a toddler), and walking our border collie, Kepler, who insists every day is an ultra marathon taken on at the pace of Usain Bolt.

And I’ve done all of it, more often than not, in lululemon Align leggings and tops as well as this other lululemon gear.

I bought my first pair of Align leggings nearly a decade ago because I fell in love with the feeling of that second-skin softness.

But these days, it’s less about me training for mountain races (even though I still have plenty of those lined up! 😀), and more about my active lifestyle spending time with family.

The everyday, everywhere kind of life.

Why I still reach for Align

There’s something about Align leggings that just works for me. The Nulu™ fabric is so lightweight and breathable that I don’t even think about them once they’re on.

And as someone who moves a lot throughout the day, from traveling for work, and stroller walks to backyard playtime with Seb (our nearly 2-year-old) and Kepler—it’s that freedom of movement that makes the world of difference fo rme.

They give me just the right amount of support without ever feeling tight or restrictive. And the buttery-soft fabric hasn’t pilled or stretched out, even after years of wear and wash cycles.

lululemon keeps refining Align, and the newest Align No Line version that you see me wearing in the photos in this article, is such a smart update.

They’ve removed the front seam, so now there’s literally nothing breaking the smooth silhouette. It’s subtle, but once you wear them, you get it.

The fit still feels like Align, just even more streamlined.

• Align High-Rise Short 6″ – My current summer staple for walks, workouts, and running after Seb. They stay put, don’t ride up, and feel barely there in the heat.

A decade of softness (and counting)

The photos in this article is us on an ordinary weekday evening—blowing bubbles in the park, Seb laughing, Kepler herding him like he’s part of the flock (and getting his daily frisbee catching workout).

I’m in my Aligns because I always am. They’ve been with me through so many versions of life—from solo yoga flows and daily runs, to motherhood, and honestly, I can’t imagine a wardrobe without them.
