There are many factors that keep your feet happy while running, and two very important ones are a good pair of running shoes and socks! After running in these CEP Compression Socks for a week, I’m ready to share my thoughts on their performance, and how the technology is designed to enhance comfort and help prevent some common running injuries.

As reference you can also see me wearing these socks in my Saucony Hurricane 24 review on our YouTube Channel.

4 features that make them special

1. Deep sensory stimulation and stability

One of the nice features of The Run Compression Socks 4 is the deep sensory stimulation they provide. This stimulation enhances joint stability, reduces the risk of injuries, and offers pain relief should you have it in your feet.

If you haven’t worn compression socks like this before, it might feel unusual at first, as they’re tighter fitting than traditional socks, but you’ll quickly appreciate the added support and stability they provide once you get used to them.

2. Great comfort and good breathability

These socks feature innovative air channels in the footbed and ventilation zones in the toe area, that help improve breathability and comfort while running. It has been crazy hot here in California this past week and it seems no matter how breathable the sock, my feet are heating up (to be expected when the asphalt beneath my feet is so hot)

I imagine when the temps begin to drop and we hit the Fall, my feet will feel much cooler and drier, thanks to these well-thought-out ventilation zones. This design helps in regulating temperature, which is crucial for preventing blisters and maintaining comfort throughout your workout.

3. Odor reduction

Treated with silver, these CEP compression socks help reduce unpleasant odors and eliminate bacteria, keeping your feet fresh even after the most intense runs, but also over time they shouldn’t get that stinky sock smell embedded into the fabric. The anti-odor treatment is a great feature for those of us who like to use socks for as long as possible.

4. Shock absorption

The well positioned anatomical padding in the socks provides excellent shock absorption, cushioning each step and subtly reducing the impact on your joints.

This padding is designed to protect high-impact areas, making runs more comfortable and reducing fatigue. Combine these with a max cushioned running shoe, and you’ll be on cloud 9, all run long.

What materials are being used?

The materials used in these socks are 86% Polyamide and 14% Spandex, offering a nice balance of durability, stretch, and comfort.

Extra perks when choosing CEP socks

The Run Compression Socks 4.0 come with a blister-free guarantee, which is a bold statement from a sock brand – CEP Compression are obviously very confident in their socks’ ability to protect runners’ feet.

They are available in 10 color options and come in various heights, including Tall, Mid, Low, and No-Show. This choice allows you to get the perfect pair to match your style and shoe preference. The ones I have been using are the Mid cut length in olive/black color. I also have a pair of long calf ones in my running drawer but calf socks aren’t really my style and I don’t need the additional compression in my calves right now.

Are they worth buying?

Yes, they are! I’m really enjoying running in my CEP The Run compression socks. The quality is excellent, they’re comfortable to wear while running, and I really like the supportive features that compression socks like these give your feet and legs.

With the added benefits of targeted compression in the arch and ankle (18-20 mmHg), these socks not only boost blood circulation but also provide premium support to prevent injury, reduce swelling, and alleviate pain associated with Plantar Fasciitis and the Achilles tendon.

You can purchase The Run Compression Socks 4.0 for $19.95 at Amazon.com.
