The BOTE Hangout Water Hammock is hands down one of the most fun and relaxing ways to spend a hot day on the water, whether you’re floating in a pool, drifting down a river, or anchoring up in the shallows with friends.
This inflatable hammock gives you a comfy, stable spot to cool off and have a beverage, without fully submerging yourself.
I’ve been using the 7ft Classic version this summer, mostly in my pool with family and friends, and it has quickly become a family favorite for chilling in the pool, and getting a tan.
It’s spacious, easy to set up, and has that BOTE-level durability and attention to detail that makes the price feel more justified the more you use it.
The BOTE Hangout Chair is awesome, but this is next level fun because you can enjoy the ride with others.

Performance review
Inflating the Water Hammock takes roughly 5 to 10 minutes with the included hand pump (or much faster if you’re lucky enough to have the AeroPump Mini), and then you’re good to go.
Once inflated, it’s impressively big, there’s enough room to lounge solo or hang out with a group of 4 adults without feeling cramped.
What makes this float feel special, though, is the mesh center.
It cradles you just a few inches into the water, which means you stay cool without being soaked, a total win when temps hit 90°F and the sun’s beating down.
You get that constant refreshing feel without having to constantly dip in and out or even get your hair wet, if that’s something that bothers you…
It’s surprisingly stable, too. Even with a few of us moving around or climbing in and out, it never feels like it’s going to tip.
The EVA foam rim is solid but soft and comfy to rest on, offering just enough support to lean against.
And with a 600 lb weight capacity, it’s built to handle more than just one or two people, honestly, 4 people can easily fit in here, plus the odd dog and child.
I’m a big fan of the MAGNEPOD™ system, which I have talked about before in my BOTE Hangout Chair review, especially with the speaker and drinkware setup. Your drinks and tunes stay locked in, which means no drifting cans or soaked electronics.
The six DockLink™ D-rings are great if you want to build out a full hangout zone by connecting to another float, paddleboard, or anchored boat. I can see this really shining at a group lake day or sandbar meetup.
It all packs down into a rolling travel bag that’s surprisingly compact given the inflated size. It’s still a bit heavy (30 lbs loaded), but totally manageable if you’re rolling it from the car or loading it onto a boat.
My verdict
At nearly $1,000, the BOTE Hangout Water Hammock isn’t a casual impulse buy BUT if you spend a lot of time near water and love the idea of relaxing in comfort while staying cool, it’s worth it in my opinion.
I have certainly been getting alot of use out of in over the last few months.
It’s big, fun, functional, and surprisingly durable. The mesh bed is ultra comfy, the construction feels solid, and BOTE’s magnetic features just add to the convenience and vibe.
This one’s a floating lounge you’ll actually use, and enjoy, again and again. It turns hot days into full-on chill sessions, especially if you bring a few friends along.
