YETI’s latest drop, the Silo Jug, isn’t your average sports jug, oh no no no, it’s so much more!
Borrowing from the bombproof DNA of their Roadie® Hard Coolers, this new release is rugged, ice-retaining, and 100% leakproof.
It comes in two sizes, 40oz and Half Gallon, the latter of which I have been testing (expect a full review soon), and it’s designed to keep your drink colder than your kid’s defense on game day.
You even get a fence hook built into the handle, so there’s always a spot to hang it, no more mystery puddles on the bench.
Built like a Roadie, just easier to carry
The Silo Jug is built from the same tough-as-nails plastic used in YETI’s legendary hard coolers.

That means it can take a fall, survive a dirt field, or live in your car trunk without you breaking a sweat for fear of a cracked Silo jug.
It’s insulated with PermaFrost™, so whatever you put in there (cold water, electrolyte mix, iced tea…) stays chilled for hours, yes, even in summer heat.
We especially like the MagSlider™ Straw Cap version that we have been testing.

It’s covered for cleaner sipping, seals tight to stop leaks, and makes it super easy for kids to use on their own.
There’s also a MagDock™ Chug Cap if you prefer a bigger gulp at half time.
For the gym, the trailhead, or the sideline
At 2.25 lbs empty and with dishwasher-safe everything, the Silo Jug is practical for families and gym rats alike.

Whether you’re coaching from the sidelines or doing laps at the track, it’s the kind of hydration gear that can be shared, dropped, sloshed around, and still perform.
It’s not for hot drinks (room temp or cold only), but that’s kind of the point. It’s made to bring the chill.
Specs (Half Gallon size):
- Capacity: 64oz
- Dimensions: 6.1″W x 14.6″H (15.5W x 37.1H cm)
- Weight: 2.25 lbs (empty)

Final thoughts
Most reusable jugs are either too breakable, too bulky, or too frustrating to clean.
The YETI Silo Jug fixes all of that with clean design, leakproof peace of mind, and that legendary YETI cold retention.
It’s available now (Friday October 24, 2025) at YETI.com, and we expect to see it everywhere, from soccer fields to trailheads, by the end of the year and beyond.
